In doing so, we share the findings and priorities of our members working in this field, and work in partnership with organisations of people with disabilities, to present recommendations to advance disability equity.

Assistive Technology in the Pacific

Assistive Technology (AT) changes lives. Yet for too many in our region, access to these vital lifelines remains out of reach. More action is needed to ensure these vital products - like wheelchairs, glasses, hearing aids and the services required to access them - are accessible, appropriate and affordable to all those who need them. Australia can change lives by supporting access to AT. An investment of $12m over four years delivered in partnership with Pacific governments, OPDs and service providers across the region would support catalytic improvement in access to assistive technology.
