Technical Advisor Inclusion – Nossal Institute for Global Health

The Nossal Institute for Global Health at the University of Melbourne is seeking a suitably qualified individual to join our Disability Inclusion for Health and Development (DIHD) team. We are seeking expressions of interest from both early and mid-career professionals who can work both independently and as part of a time. Candidates should be committed to inclusive development practice and policy in Asia and the Pacific and be excited by the prospect of working with a lead institute in this field.

We are seeking applications from individuals with a track record in inclusive development. A sound understanding of disability in contemporary health and development is required. Knowledge of gender issues is highly desirable. The candidate will have experience of working with a range of stakeholders. Applied research experience is an advantage. Candidates should have proven experience of working on issues of inclusion with a professional focus on at least one of the following: disability inclusion; gender and women’s leadership; and/or children and youth empowerment.
 

The position is likely to include overseas travel. Travel may be up to 3 weeks at a time.
