Living with a disability in times of disaster

As a part of the 4CA project, Tetoamatoa has been creating and performing theatre pieces to highlight the rights of people with disabilities and to raise awareness of those rights within their communities. Specifically, they are using the project to communicate how they are affected by natural disasters and how the entire community can benefit if their views are taken into account when preparing for disasters.

This group has recently been involved in Plan’s AusAID-funded Child-Centered Climate Change Adaptation (4CA) project, delivered by the Foundation of the Peoples of the South Pacific International (FSPI), which is tackling the increasing impact of climate change.
