Only Rights Can Stop the Wrongs

HIV and sex work
Introduction
This guide is intended to provide key resources to development practitioners who are undertaking interventions that affect sex workers.

After more than two decades of research, there is a substantial body of knowledge about the role of commercial sex in HIV epidemics and the factors that drive sex workers’ and their clients’ vulnerability to HIV and AIDS. Additionally, we can now observe the efficacy of various interventions and policies that aim to reduce HIV transmission associated with sex work and to provide care and support services to sex workers and their clients.
Only rights can stop the wrongs

This publication provides an understanding of HIV and sex work and  presents regional voices of sex workers from Europe and Central Asia, North America and the Caribbean, Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Pacific.
