20070701 DFID Scoping Study: Disability Issues in Zimbabwe

This Disability Scoping Study was commissioned by the Department for International Development (DFID) Zimbabwe. The objectives of the study were threefold. First, to provide an overview of the general situation of disabled people in Zimbabwe, including the prevalence rates of disability and the channels of the support that are available to disabled people, drawing upon existing published literature. Secondly, to provide an
assessment regarding to what extent disability issues have been included in the Phase I of that DFID funded Protracted Relief Programme (PRP). Thirdly, to make policy recommendations regarding how disability can be effectively incorporated into the second phase of the PRP programme, scheduled to commence in April, 2008.
