and Attempts to Alleviate Consequences of impairments

Scientific evidence suggests that investment during the early years of disadvantaged Child's life can generate high private and public pay-offs over time. There are numerous pathways linking cost-effective investments in Child Protection and development to improve health outcomes, increase productivity, reduce crime and other social ills. Disability is considered the most important source of vulnerability among children, specially in developing countries due to shortage in health services, insufficient training health service providers, lack of community education programs and limited rehabilitation services.
